You absolutely do not need to have any particular religious or spiritual beliefs for this to work for you! If you happen to have a religious or spiritual practice that’s meaningful to you, that’s great! These may influence the way you experience or make sense of the magical results you receive. But there’s absolutely no requirement to worship, pray, or believe in anything religious, spiritual, or “woo” for the magic to work.
As far as whether or not magic will conflict with your religion, this is truly a personal question for you that we cannot answer. What we can say, however, is that there is nothing involved in the process that requires you to believe (or not believe) in anything. You are likewise not required to take any of the recommended actions (magical or mundane) if they conflict with your personal ethics or beliefs. We have known folks from many different faiths, atheists, and agnostics who have all received benefits from magical spellwork.
